come dare to live in the world today
Come dare to live in the world today,
come dare to look at ourselves and say:
“We wonder what is the part we play
to be our neighbour’s keeper?”
We’ll look again at the words we use,
we’ll think again of the ways we choose,
to live to heal and not abuse,
and be our neighbour’s keeper.
We’ll think again of all we’ve been taught,
the way we’ve spent and the way we’ve thought,
for some of this is reduced to naught,
when we’re our neighbour’s keeper.
Come dare to love in our world today,
come, for our Maker will firmly say
that each of us has a part to play,
to be our neighbour’s keeper.
